President's Letter

Turnaround Management Association Northeast Chapter has long maintained a vital role in our region's economy. Functioning as the leading membership organization enabling corporate renewal, our Chapter serves as a forum for innovation, idea creation, professional development, and high standards of practice. I have benefited immensely from my involvement with TMA in a multitude of ways. TMA has allowed me to develop deep relationships both within our Chapter and with TMA professionals around the globe; it's been incredibly rewarding to develop close relationships with many industry colleagues and business partners through the organization. Additionally, involvement in TMA has enabled the development of a significant level of professional knowledge, facilitating a high standard of service to numerous clients in a diverse range of industries and situations.

It is an honor to serve the Chapter as the TMA Northeast President in 2016. During the upcoming year, we will continue to provide excellent Programming events for our members and guests. One of the most important functions of our organization is to serve as a venue for industry-specific networking and education; along these lines, we will continue to tailor events to maximize these attributes. We will also continue our efforts to enhance industry-specific professional development opportunities through our ascending professional (NextGen) and Education events. Our Network of Women (NOW) initiative will continue to provide exciting events and opportunities for our members.

During 2016, we will continue to make strides in the implementation of our Strategic Plan. As you may be aware, our Chapter's leaders recently invested a great deal of time to study our continually evolving industry. As a result, our Chapter has developed a set of recommendations to allow the organization to maximize its ability to meet the needs of the membership base during a continually evolving business environment.

On behalf of the entire Chapter, I would like to recognize and thank Steven Reingold of Jager Smith P.C. and Mary Ellen Rogers of TD Bank for their years of dedication and tireless service on our Board of Directors. Steven and Mary Ellen's terms ended in 2015, but we very much look forward to continuing to work with both closely in the coming years and benefiting from their sage insight and expertise.

I would also like to thank Paul Kelly of People's United Bank for his leadership and vision as our 2015 President. Paul contributed immensely to our Chapter in many ways, perhaps most notably through organizing and spearheading the memorable Founders Reception. Paul, we can't thank you enough for your service, and we look forward to working with and benefiting from your insight and leadership in the years ahead.

Again, it is an honor to serve as Chapter President for 2016. I look forward to working closely with the incredible professionals that serve tirelessly on our Board of Directors and various committees, and to serving our Chapter's membership as a whole. Together, we will continue to maximize the ability of our members and their firms in driving excellence in corporate renewal.
